Diagnostic Imaging | Meet the Staff


Mackenzie Hallman, DVM, DACVR

Dr. Hallman is an assistant professor in diagnostic imaging. Originally from Almena, Kan., she earned her BS degree in Biology and her DVM degree both from Kansas State University. She completed a small animal internship at Virginia Tech and a residency in diagnostic imaging at Kansas State University. Hallman obtained board certification by the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2016. Her clinical interests focus on expanding the use of CT in imaging the thorax of critical patients and in small animal abdominal ultrasound. She also loves teaching radiology in both the didactic and the clinical setting. She is interested in exploring different teaching styles in radiology, including systemic approaches versus pattern recognition and case-based learning.

She and her husband were vet school classmates and have three children. In her spare time Mackenzie enjoys running with her dog, working on the house and yard, and playing with the kids.

Carrie Kuzma, DVM

Originally from Rochester, N.Y., she earned her DVM degree from Ross University. Her research interests include cross-sectional imaging, specifically CT, and contrast applications in exotics and large animals. Carrie's hobbies include dancing/exercising, leisure reading, horseback riding, scuba diving and traveling. 


Clay Hallman, DVM

Dr. Hallman is a resident in diagnostic imaging in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. Originally from Souderton, Pa., he earned a BA at Wake Forest University and his DVM degree from Kansas State University, where he met and married his wife, Dr. Mackenie Hallman. His clinical interests focus on researching advanced imaging for cardiac disease and canine musculoskeletal disease.

Clay has a minor in German and has lived in both Munich, Germany, and Vienna, Austria. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, also in diagnostic imaging, and their three children. He also likes the outdoors, hiking, fishing and skiing.


Carolyn Rodebush, MT (AMT), RT (R) (ASRT)

Carolyn is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is the Radiology Chief Technologist at the OSU Veterinary Medical Hospital. She earned an Associate in Applied Sciences from Tulsa Jr. College and has been employed by OSU for 25 years. Carolyn also earned an honorary FFA degree, was a lifeguard, canoe instructor and a scout leader. She enjoys hunting, trail riding, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
