Oklahoma State Veterinary Students Recognized for Clinical Skills

Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences recently recognized several soon to be veterinarians for their clinical skills. Members of the class of 2019 received awards from industry partners and private donors in a variety of categories:

  • Sierra Shoman – American Animal Hospital Association Award for Proficiency in Primary Care
  • Adrienne Palmer – American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Certificate of Clinical Excellence and the Veterinary Cancer Society Bob Rosenthall Senior Student Award for Proficiency in Clinical Oncology
  • Kelsey Routh – American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Certificate of Clinical Excellence
  • Shannah Rider – American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Certificate of Clinical Excellence
  • Jesse Jenny – American College of Veterinary Surgeons Award
  • Rachel Shoemaker – American College of Veterinary Surgeons Award
  • Logan Kembel – Bayer Large Animal Medicine and Surgery Proficiency Award and the Lester and Lucille Johnson Endowed Scholarship for her proficiency in equine and/or food animal medicine and surgery
  • Kelsey Eastwood – Durham Ranch Food Animal Award
  • Cameron Ross – Durham Ranch Food Animal Award
  • Crystal Matt – Johnson C. Hays Endowed Scholarship for her interest in zoo, exotics and wildlife medicine
  • Emily Palmer – W. F. and H.R. Irwin Memorial Scholarship for her clinical skills in anatomy and small animal surgery
  • Lauren Foley – Betty M. Lighton Award for her skills in case management and client communications in small animal intensive care cases
  • Cory Anderson – Dr. G. Pat Mayer Endowed Scholarship for his interest in theriogenology with a food animal emphasis
  • Stephen Dilday – Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society Award for his proficiency in caring for emergency and critical care patients
