Yujie Guo, PhD candidate in the Lung Biology and Toxicology Laboratory, received a Distinguished Graduate Fellowship from the OSU Foundation. The fellowship carries a $2,200 annual stipend. Recipients were selected from a pool of students who were nominated by their academic programs based on a GPA greater than 3.5, creative activities and scholarly contributions.
 
Xiao Xiao, a Ph.D. student in the Lung Biology and Toxicology Laboratory (LBTL), on receiving a pre-doctoral fellowship from the American Heart Association. Xiao is one of 14 students selected for this award among 61 applications.  The award provides $50,000 for two years for Xiao to study microRNAs and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, one of the most common and worst interstitial lung diseases.
